Challenge
A client’s existing eLearning course and template were outdated, featuring old graphics, uninspiring layouts, and a lack of modern design principles. The outdated visuals reduced learner engagement and retention, making it difficult for the client to achieve their training goals.

Original course design was outdated and utilized the default navigation and user experience that traditional Storyline offers.
Process
I prototyped over 20 different interactions and layouts with the intention that the template would act as Section 508-accessible Reusable Learning Objects.

The full template features robust options of customized timelines, carousels, click-to-reveals, modals, knowledge checks, and assessments.

Design System
I designed a cohesive design system that aligns with our clients' brand identity through a unified color palette, typography, and UI components. Prioritizing accessibility and scalability, I created reusable design tokens to maintain consistency. This helps bring efficiency to development while maintaining a good user experience and future adaptability.

Solution
To revamp the course, I applied modern design techniques, incorporating:
-
Fresh, engaging interactives to boost user reception
-
A cohesive color scheme to enhance visual appeal and readability
-
An updated layout for improved navigation and learner experience
By modernizing the course and template, I created a refreshed, visually engaging learning environment that improved both reception and usability.
